Major deal secured to supply made-to-measure conveyors to the operators of popular retailer Home Bargains

SOVEX were tasked with manufacturing five telescopic boom conveyor systems for TJ Morris’s warehouses in Wiltshire and Liverpool.  Executive Vice President and General Manager Avi Malhotra said the installation of the TL3 conveyors, which came complete with a manrider mobile chassis, greatly enhanced each site’s vehicle loading and unloading capacity.

“TJ Morris was keen to fully optimise its warehouse floor space,” he said. “That is exactly what Sovex’s TL3 conveyors are designed to help customers achieve. The installation of two TL3s in Wiltshire and three in Liverpool not only provides greater portability around the warehouse floor but enables warehouse operatives to unload tall trailers too.

“The TL3 is 7.5m by 15m, has three extendable sections and an 800mm wide belt. It also has a manrider mobile chassis, which will be a real asset to TJ Morris as it greatly increases the flexibility of vehicle loading and unloading. It allows an otherwise fixed conveyor to be moved from one loading door to another, or simply to a different location. Available on rails or fully mobile, at low or high level and manually moved or powered, there is a mobile chassis to suit every specification.”

One of the fastest growing firms in the UK, Sovex offers the complete package of design, manufacture, supply, installation and maintenance of vehicle loaders and conveyors.

Avi Malhotra said Sovex, which launched a manufacturing operation in Malaysia in 2013, will continue to offer its customers the personal touch despite the firm recently enhancing its global reach.

“Sovex now has a strong presence across Europe with sales offices in The Netherlands and distributors in Italy, France, Poland, Denmark and Portugal,” he said. “We also have a presence across Asia and distributors in India, Australia and New Zealand. Despite this, we remain committed to continuing to provide only the highest levels of customer service and working with each customer to find the best solutions for them – helping to save them time and money.

“As well as offering the capacity to produce bespoke designs and meet high volume orders, Sovex also has a nationwide team of more than 40 engineers who offer a 24/7 after care, servicing and maintenance service. The team’s response time of one to four hours is a real source of pride.”
