SOVEX exhibits MVL at Internet Retailing Exhibition

SOVEX will exhibit its Mobile Vehicle Loader (MVL) at the Internet Retailing Show at the NEC, Birmingham in 26 & 27 March, 2014. The MVL range is ideal for third party logistics companies and parcel companies that are loading from ground level.

See how the MVL can reduce time spent unloading by as much as 30% ensuring product is unloaded and ready for picking and dispatching as quickly as possible. The MVL is ideal for distribution centres or warehouses that have no raised loading dock and want to unload or load different sized vehicles.

The MVL has two height adjustable sections – a decline section at the rear of the conveyor which allows operators to load parcels and adjust the height when breaking down pallets of products to provide improved ergonomic work conditions. A height adjustable telescopic belt conveyor is at the front which extends into the vehicle and carries the boxes to an operator for loading. Travel direction is reversible so the range can be used for loading and unloading. The MVL can also be connected to a mobile conveyor system.

The conveyor is on swivel castors and is fully motorised. It features a wheel which allows users to steer the machine into position.  This allows it to be moved between loading bays or stored out of the way to create more space for forklift trucks to move freely when a vehicle is not being loaded or unloaded.

Reducing manual handling in your business also means you reduce the risk of injuries and days off work.  There were over 1.2 million days lost in 2012 due to handling injuries (source HSE), the days lost were particularly high in the transportation and storage sector.

The MVL is height adjustable so the operator is working at an ergonomic height thus reducing back and neck sprains. It also reduces manual handling as the machine transports boxes, bags, totes and loose items.  Come and visit us on K60 to see how it can help your business.
